When my Mother passed from this world, Kuan Yin, wrapped me in her loving arms and has given me peace, through the years.  My hopes are that everyone in the world know Reiki and have it in their lives.  This is not a utopian vision that instantly creates a world of complete harmony and total peace.  Yet having Reiki allows greater peace and harmony to flow.  Over time the healing of the worlds ills will be accomplished and, with Reiki in the hands of everyone, that day will come much more quickly.

Reiki is a wonderful gift which can be shared between us all.

In this vision each new teacher of Reiki increases the rate at which Reiki spreads.  The growth is exponential as more people teach and spread this gift.  It is like a flame being passed from person to person, lighting a light within each person it touches. Like lighting a candle, the flame is not diminished by lighting more candles, instead there is more light.

I ask and pray that as Reiki is spread that the truth be given clearly and completely.  It does not do to smudge up Reiki with inappropriate extra contraptions.

Kuan Yin is an emissary of compassion. She is one of four great Bodhisattvas or enlightened beings that watch over the earth. She is also called Avalokiteshvara and in Japan she is called Kannon. The embodiment of Mahakaruna, or great compassion, she is highly venerated in Buddhism and is ready to help all those who pray to her or attune to her healing energies, which continually emanate from her.  While she has been depicted as male, in more recent times and especially by Taoist and Tantric sources she has been seen as female.  In this form she represents the Goddess or female aspect of the deity.  Portrayed as standing on a lotus blossom and floating in the sky, her purity remains unstained by the ignorance and confusion of the world, even as she reaches out to help. Filled with the greatest beauty and grace, her reality is that all beings are one and deserve to be free. Because of this she is ready without reservation to extend peace, joy, love and every divinely good thing to anyone who contacts to her.

This has occurred during the attunements, or while giving or receiving treatments or while meditating. These experiences can be inspirational as well as healing.  Because this happens frequently and the healing energies are so strong, many feel that this compassion comes from Kuan Yin and the other Bodhisattvas.

We live in a wonderful time when ancient wisdom is combining with modern methods to spread spiritual practices all over the world.  Millions of people practice Reiki now and the numbers continue to grow.  This is having a powerful effect on our spiritual lives and helping to heal the planet.  As the pace quickens, world peace becomes possible.  Let us use the healing power that comes to us now to heal ourselves and help others.  May you always walk in peace.

Reiki is Light and Harmony within and through all planes of being/reality. Origins of hands-on healing practices go back to the beginnings of spiritual culture, across most traditions: Egypt, India, Greece, America...

Present lines of Reiki teachings as they are imparted in the West come, although somewhat transformed, from Japan, thanks to Mikao Usui Sensei.

Reiki teachings are continuously expanding, bringing wellbeing and awareness of spiritual power over mind and matter to millions of people across the whole planet.

Essential Reiki is the particular development of Reiki Master Diane Stein. This is a vibrational tool that releases from all unconscious blockages.

Here we introduce a Reiki Lineage that is generated and protected by Kuan-yin, Boddhisattva of Compassion and Mercy, She who blesses motherhood, children and women in general, empowering female energy everywhere within humankind, but no less She who attends and saves all beings without exception, hearing first their cries, prayers and petitions.

Kuan-yin transfers Her boundless blessings through the Light of this Reiki conduct. This Lineage initiations, originated implicitly from Essential Reiki, now carry explicitly the empowerment of Kuan-yin herself, which gives rise to Her unlimited energy of compassionate love within each recipient, to be expanded by he or she through the world.

Kuan-yin inspired Diane Stein along her many healing and teaching activities, and also through her written texts. Kuan-yin kept Her blessing across each link of Essential Reiki lineage. Carolyn Ford. Taylor, as a direct initiate of Diane Stein, transmits Kuan-yin energies through Essential Reiki as well.

I have received the gift of heart-consciousness of Kuan-yin as the primal guide-force of this Reiki transmission, once received the revelation of her ancestral yidam and innermost being-essence in Kuan-yin.

The following is an excerpt from A Year and A Day of Kuan Yin:

Kuan Yin glides through the clouds riding on a dragon. The dragon's head symbolizes her magickal powers, which help her to free people from suffering. Her hands are lifted to protect against evil forces.

In Chinese culture, the dragon is a lucky animal. In fact, it is the king of the animals and represents wisdom, strength, transformation and deep spirituality.
Like Kuan Yin, the dragon can be in the sky, in the water, and on earth, transforming as required and undetected in the world of humans.

We too, share some of this ability to transform: for example, we change into the appropriate attire for our professions or for social occasions. This principle of self-transformation applies to our mental and emotional lives as well. In certain situations, we may change internally into unconscious and weak being, allowing ourselves to be trapped, forgetting that we in fact are powerful dragons.

A Gentle Hug!

Hugging is good medicine. It transfers energy,
and gives the person hugged an emotional boost.
You need four hugs a day for survival, eight for maintenance, and twelve for growth.
A hug makes you feel good.
The skin is the largest organ we have and it needs a great deal of care.
A hug can cover a lot of skin and gives the message that you care.
It is also a form of communication.
It can say things you don't have words for.
The nicest thing about a hug is that you usually can't give one without getting one.
