As
Louise Hay says:
Now,
dear ones, why would you want to hold on to such pain? Holding on to it isn’t
going to change the situation. It isn’t going to bring happiness. The only
way to heal is to let go of the pain. That is how we heal our relationships
with others.
What
grief, emotional pain, or physical pain are you willing to release tonight?
About
our Hands-on Healing Process
All
of us here innately Energy Workers, each of us with the ability to channel
Divine Energy for physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and etheric healing,
both for healing ourselves as well as others, whether we have formal training
or not.
Firstly,
I offer my deep gratitude and praise to Vicki Noble for many of these words,
and for teaching me all of these techniques. She says:
Being
a healer means to be a lightning rod, the big energy is available but it needs
to come through something, to focus into the planet and that something is
us, so if you make yourself into a healer you learn to make yourself stay present
in your body, even in an earthquake, even when things are very scary, you
stay, you don’t go. We women are taught to leave our bodies, really it’s an uphill struggle, we have been conditioned
to do the opposite, to fly out, either to rescue or to be rescued, but either
way we are not in.
Tonight
we are going to work with a Transformational Healing Ritual—a powerful group
form developed by Vicki Noble through over three decades of studying and practicing
shamanic healing and teaching these techniques it to others. The primary
components of this contemporary healing ritual are our voices, our instruments,
and a simple form of hands-on healing that anyone can do without special
training, done over an extended period of time.
We will drum and rattle and hold a simple chant, keeping a steady rhythm and
a deep focus on healing.
This
is a shamanic practice, and shamanism is a service vocation. Once exclusively
a women’s province, shamanism is a sacrificial practice in which the shaman
uses her body as a vessel for powerful energies to flow through her for healing
and magick. In ancient times, women performed this function collectively in
ecstatic rituals and communal ceremonies involving—and on behalf of—the entire
community. This is a practice of the ancestral wisdom
of our sacred women's intuition, healing, and amazing strength.
This
ritual becomes a tribal experience, bringing us together in a trance-like
state, transporting us—shape shifting—to another level of reality. It's as
close as most of us get to tribal healing in these modern times. You don't
have to be a “healer,” just a Sister-Queen with your heart open. As we participate
in this ecstatic, intuitive, vibrational healing work, it boosts our immune
systems, lifts our spirits, and brings us into deeper connection and resonance
with one another and with Goddess. During the course
of this healing magick, our body temperatures rise, our hands get hot,
and we may even sweat profusely. Together we enter a state of consciousness
associated with physical changes such as a slower heart rate; if measured,
perhaps even our brain waves would show changes. Generally
everyone comes away from this rite feeling rejuvenated and in better health.
We
will each have the opportunity to relax and rest
easy, lying in the nest in the center of our Circle. When
it is your turn, simply relax and allow yourself to be cared for by your Sister-Queens
and to receive the many benefits of Female Life Force (also known as shakti,
chi, qi, prana, nyama and/or hado), as we channel to you the power of the four
Elements of Air, Fire, Water, and Earth.
We’ll
be singing continually, drumming, rattling, dancing, using oils, sacred waters,
feathers, sage, bells, and crystals. Reiki and all other energetic healing
modalities are welcome. While we are acting as the
Healers, let’s be sure to have one woman at the both the head and the feet
of the woman who is receiving the healing energies. Holding
simultaneously at the hands and feet during a healing is also called “the
battery;” this helps to ground the powerful energies running through the body.
When doing the healing work, be free to dance or
move around the room if you feel so called.
We
will each take our turn in the center, going popcorn-style. You may identify
your specific concern to us, or just simply choose to receive powerful amounts
of this healing energy for overall strengthening, wholeness, and vitality.
Those who have participated in this ritual feel the effects of the work powerfully.
Some speak of it as “the Mother,” or as being held in the arms of the Universe.
I
will mark the time by ringing a bell near your head—please do not worry about
anything but receiving as a Queen when it is your turn; relax and open yourself
into the experience. When your time in the center
is ended, please be gentle with yourself. Sisters,
let’s help and guide the Sister-Queen to a comfortable space to just sit
and come back to center before returning to the healing work.
Are
there any questions?
