Rest Well Sweet Sister
1951 - 2017
A beautiful woman with an open heart
Whose biggest concern was family and home
She taught her children about caring
The importance of problem sharing
With wisdom that came not from a tome.
Her vast knowledge of the farm weeds
Came in handy for all our medicinal needs
She told me “Seek your fortune and strive for fame
But your greatest possession is your good name.”
She may have been confined to a chair
But she made beautiful braids in my hair.
She made beautiful clothes with that old treadle
Because she could move her feet to move the pedaL
She could sing and played guitar
She read us poetry in the evening hours
A woman of infinite archetypal knowledge
Her fifth grade education topped my college
It may not rhyme, but I loved it when she told me
“If the grass is greener on the other side,
Dear Sister, we will see you again!
"Sarah Jane “Sally”
Fischer, 65, of Fredericksburg, VA, went into the arms of the Goddess

Horner, who became a great comfort to her after the passing of her late
husband, Leo Fischer; her son, Franklin Moyer; granddaughter, Abigail
Moyer; step children Mary and Albert Fischer; and the many others who
considered her “mom”.
Family and friends will
be received in the Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse
