A Poem That Tells My Story:
What kind of witch am I, you say,
If I don’t follow the fairies all day,
but am into clothes and boys;
as a teen I was seeking approval from others;
but one day, I discovered
who I was before
this crisis of character
showing the Goddess I care for her
And being simple at my core.
In college I was involved with other things;
and shut out belief in elemental beings.
My love of the Craft still there, alas
when the subject came up in a class,
I defended witchcraft with a passion;
despite the fact it was not in fashion
to love things un-intellectual.
A friend invited me to a ritual,
having seen that I too was spiritual
in the same way she believed.
I was so relieved!
people with the same beliefs as mine-
in the triple Goddess, a different trine;
comraderie over cakes and wine.
