Goddess
Among Us
Final
Project for Level III
By Matooka Moonbear
MOTHER
There
was A Goddess incarnated on earth who
was of another worldly place.
Her view of life was like looking through a
kaleidoscope seeing the weaving of time
and
space and it’s many universes.
The infinite colors, textures and vibrations
that made the art we now call nature.
She could see it for sure.
This
Goddess was a dream weaver and a saver of them, too.
Sometimes
people begin a dream and lose track of it,
dropping a stitch in their knitting.
Like Spider Woman, this Goddess
would find the stitch and
save it until someone would come searching.
If no one came, She would give it a home,
for She believed that everything had a place
and no thing should be wasted.
Sometimes
She moved like a gnome through the trees
and
other times like a fairy flitting above a beautiful fragrant garden of
flowers.
She transformed herself into a unicorn and danced through misty meadows.
One
day while busy creating new universes,
she noticed something beautiful in the deepest part of the sea.
It swam like a dolphin sleek and smooth.
Cresting
the waters surface and drawing her in.
A
merman beckoned her heart and she made union with him.
A new universe now divided within her womb and in nine moons,
her
daughter was born.
This
myth is that of my own mother
Ada Marie Pols
Artist name: Oma Pols
She was an artist with a special way
of looking at life. She had vision
with a mind that processed information
in a very unique way.
Her example of living was to dream and
share them through her art,
Also, in the way she lived her life.
I believe that she shared some of her
special way of seeing things with me.
I use this talent in my art,
spiritual practices and rituals.
Her Magick became part of me
and I am forever expressing it in
creative ways from Medicine objects
to magickal tools.
My creative muse has always been
sacred mother imagery.
I
commit to my path of serving the
Divine Goddess within me. This honors
my mother as well as all women.
I believe this is my true calling, to
serve my Inner Goddess by serving
sacred sisters everywhere and supporting
their journey home to themselves where
they may find
Goddess waiting for them.

Creative
Art Ritual
Decide
what you are creating
the mediums you will use.
In this case, I choose painting.
Items needed:
Canvas board
brushes
water
acrylic paint
music & candles if you wish
Bring
your items to your altar or sacred space.
Smudge,
cleanse with incense or visualize
purifying your space, tools and self.
Then ground center while breathing deeply.
Cast a circle of light around you.
Invite your sacred muse and ask her to
help you with your creation.
Then soften your gaze letting her guide your
mind to what will be birthed through you.
Pick up your brush, paint and begin your
journey.
Let
your self flow freely and create!
When you are finished. Give thanks.
Ask the creation to speak giving
messages
and insight to you.
After spending time communing with your work.
Close circle and clean up.
Give your creation a place of honor
that
it may speak to you over time.
Blessed be!
