Triple Goddess: Maiden, Mother, and Crone
Week 1
by Morgana
When we see the Goddess, we usually see her aspects and She becomes Maiden, Mother, and Crone. As in many trinities in history, this is the Goddess Trinity. These aspects attune with women’s cycles and rites of passage. During the next four weeks, we will study these aspects and get to know Her better. Welcome to our journey together. I look forward to walking this path with you so we can learn together. Blessings!!
Part A – The Maiden
When I think about the Maiden, a young girl comes to my mind. She is wild, beautiful, active, powerful, energetic, rebel, among other things. Some words that are associated with the Maiden are independent, strong, objective, power from within… What words come to your mind when you think about the Maiden?
When we are children, we hear stories and myths; did you hear any stories about the maiden?
What Maiden Goddessses are you familiar with? Do you feel connected to the Maiden?
Write a paragraph about the Maiden and how you attune with her energies.
Part B – Maiden
Magick
The Maiden is associated with New Beginnings, new plans, new jobs, moving into a new house, making plans for a new life. She is associated with the waxing moon and her colors are all pastel or light.
During this week, look for information about the Maiden, her correspondences (such as crystals, candle colors, oils, herbs, among others), and create a spell connected to the Maiden energy.
Part C – Maiden
Meditation
Find a picture of a Maiden aspect of the Goddess you feel
attracted to. Sit comfortably in an area where you will not be disturbed, and
dedicate a few minutes to look at the picture. What do you see? Are there any
aspects of the Goddess that call your attention? Is her picture telling you
something? Take some deep long breaths and close your eyes, relax, and see
yourself walking through a path in the forest, you are going up a mountain, at
the top, you can see a small light. You walk till you reach the top. When you
get there, you see a small
Write a paragraph about your experience.
Part D – Maiden Myth
During this week, find a Maiden Myth and write a paragraph about it. Try to see how the myth applies to your life. We are usually attracted to things that we need in our life. The myth you find will have a special meaning for you.
Part E – Maiden
Ritual
You have learned a lot about the Maiden during this week and now it is the time to write a write a ritual to honor her. Make sure to include some of the correspondences that we study in part B as well as any astrological information you can come up with.
Blessings to you my sister!
