Triple Goddess: Maiden, Mother and Crone

Week 2

by Morgana

Part A – The Mother

The Mother usually makes me think of unconditional love, creative energy, full Moon, manifestation energy, among other things. When I think about the Mother, she comes in many names – Isis, Durga, Kali, Yemaya, Sekhmet, Ma’at, she of Thousand Names.

What Mother Goddesses are you familiar with? Do you feel more connected to? What is your relationship with your mother? Are you a mother?

Write a paragraph about your feelings connected to Mother Goddess.

Part B – Mother Magick

Mother Magick talks about projects coming to fruition, completion, blessings, protection, guidance, gardening, growing, developing intuition and spiritual path.

During this week, look for information about the Mother, her correspondences (such as crystals, candle colors, oils, herb, among others), and create a spell connected to the Mother energy.

Part C – Mother Meditation

Find a picture of a Mother aspect of the Goddess that you feel attracted to. Sit comfortably in an area where you will not be disturbed, and dedicate a few minutes to look at the picture. What do you see? Are there any aspects of the Goddess that call your attention? Is the picture telling you something? Take some deep long breaths and close your eyes, relax, and see yourself walking through a path in the beach, you hear the sea sounds, it is nighttime and the Moon is shining in the sky. It is a full moon. As you walk, you see alight inside a cave. You get in and you see her, she has been waiting for you. She is sitting by the fire.  She invites you to sit down. As you do, she asks you to think of all those projects that you have been working on and ask you which one you would like to see completed. As you tell her. She presents you a gift (this gift is for you only). You are happy to see what it is since it has a message for you. When you are ready, you say good bye and start getting out of the cave, and slowly open your eyes.

Write a paragraph about your experience.

Part D – Mother Myth

During this week, find a Mother Myth and write a paragraph about it. Try to see how the myth applies to your life, and how the Myth is meaningful for you.

Part E – Mother Ritual

You have learned a lot about the Mother during this week and now it is time to write a ritual to honor her. Make sure to include some of the correspondences that we study in part B as well as any astrological information you can come up with.

Have a great week sister!!
