I AM RAINBOW WOMAN … I COME TO TEACH OF POLARITIES
THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT, IS NEITHER
ALL BLACK (ABSENCE) NOR ALL WHITE (FULLNESS) ~
THESE ARE THE POLARITIES
AND WITHIN EACH POLARITY,
THERE DWELLS A PRISON OF SAMENESS
YET BETWEEN THE POLARITIES RESIDES THE RAINBOW
OF YOUR LIFE’S EXPERIENCES.
WRAP YOURSELF IN THIS
AS YOU WOULD WITH YOUR FAVORITE BLANKET
HOLD CLOSE IN YOUR EMBRACE AND SEE CLEARLY
WITH EYES OF LOVE
EACH JEWEL-HUED LESSON/GIFT
YOUR LIFE HAS TO OFFER.
WALK IN THE RAINBOW…WALK IN BALANCE
BETWEEN THE POLARITIES.
“When the
Whirling Rainbow Woman of the Navaho and Hopi brings the cleansing
regenerative rains to the Earth Mother, her children are also cleansed
and healed.”
To the Navaho and
Hopi, the Whirling Rainbow brings rains that nurture the three sisters;
Corn, Squash and Beans, during the hot summer months.
In order to accomplish this, a sand painting of the Whirling
Rainbow is drawn within the medicine wheel to draw down the rains of
Rainbow Woman.
Within this
tradition, there also lies an ancient Prophecy known as the Whirling
Rainbow Prophecy of Peace. It speaks of a
time after the earth is laden with greed and pollution and after the
devastating earth changes called the Awakening. During
this time, “Many will remember their purpose for being on this earth
walk and will learn to develop their gifts to assist the whole of
humanity. Truth will shatter the bonds of
separation and goodness will prevail.” It
will be a time of peace and understanding that all nations are one,
with each working for the good of the whole.
Rainbow Woman
resides at Manataka or Place of Peace, located in Arkansas. For thousands of years this sacred mountain
and its surrounding valleys was a meeting place for all of the Nations
of the Americas. Also known to the Maya as
Lady of the Rainbow or Ix Chel, Rainbow Woman presided over the peace
of the valley. One could tell they were
coming upon the Mountain and its valleys when a gigantic rainbow, “seen
for miles in each direction and stretched across the entire valley”,
came into sight. Tribes came here to
gather the medicinal herbs, crystals, gold, silver, pyrite and
whetstones as well as to bathe in the hot springs, all of which
surrounded the mountain in a great circle.
According to
legend, there are seven holy caves guarded by Rainbow Woman, with the
central one being entirely made of clear crystal. Today
the caves remain hidden, but during the Awakening, Rainbow Woman will
guide the Rainbow Warriors to the Crystal Cave. There
the Warriors will receive the messages left by the Star People and gain
the ability to communicate with them on many planes of existence.
As She is known
to the Maya, Ix Chel, pronounced Eesh Shel, is a Goddess of fertility,
childbirth, water, weaving, the moon and medicine.
She is a Triple Moon Goddess. In
Maiden form She is known as the Mother of all Healing Plants, with
knowledge of their properties, as well as the Patroness of Weaving. In Her Mother aspect she is the Protector of
all Women, aids with the easing of childbirth and forms the facial
features of babies while they are in the womb. In
Her Crone aspect, she is depicted wearing a headdress of snakes and a
skirt of bones. She pours out the waters
of the world from a sacred gourd, dispenses visions, and is the keeper
of the life cycle and keeper of the souls and bones of the dead. It is in Her Crone form that She is said to
have caused the great flood of the world.
The Items Sacred
to her include the following:
Essences: Marigold,
Vanilla, Almond, Oriental Lily and Bergamot.
Gemstones: Carnelian,
Coral, Agate and Brown Jasper (Orange Stones);
Moon Stone, Opal and Paula (Rainbow Colored Stones);

Places: Manataka,
